Food Management Search is Hiring a Remote IT Specialist
IT Specialist
- Based in Hampton, VA with periodic travel to other VA offices and some days from remote/home office.
- Tier 1/2 helpdesk support
- User creation / deletion / basic maintenance
- Maintain and manage Computer Use Policy records
- Order product from vendors if necessary
- Manage and maintain any additional equipment at the office locations
- Document and maintain basic user procedures
- Assist other Infrastructure teammates with projects
- Travel regionally to office locations within
Hampton, Virginia based with periodic travel to support offices in Richmond/Manassas/Norfolk/Chesapeake, VA)
- They would have a home base but travel to other locations would be as needed.
- Other duties as necessary
- Standard work hours consist of an 8 hour workday
- Must be available to work on rare occasion on weekends
- Excellent verbal communication
- Documentation writing
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic Microsoft Windows client use
- Basic Microsoft Office use
- Must have a 'thick skin', i.e. be able to deal with aggressive or rude customers
- Must be able to remain calm in an IT environment crisis
- A motivation to learn new or different computing environments and systems
